Have you ever felt that moment of “meh†when biting into what used to be your favorite burger? Like, it just doesn’t hit like it used to? Don’t worry, you’re not alone—and that’s why this news is so exciting!
Lotteria will open in Singapore in the second quarter of 2025, bringing a fresh twist to the city’s burger scene. With its unique flavors and Korean-inspired menu, Lotteria aims to add some serious excitement to Singapore’s already vibrant food landscape.
Here’s Everything We Know So Far About Lotteria’s Debut in Singapore
With over 1,600 stores across seven countries, including Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and South Korea, Lotteria has become one of Asia’s go-to burger spots. Known for its unique offerings like the Bulgogi Burger (featuring Korean marinated beef with rich, savory flavors), Hanwoo Bulgogi (crafted with premium Korean beef, perfect for serious meat lovers), and Shrimp Burger, Lotteria has built a reputation for bold, memorable flavors.
After establishing its first location in Tokyo in 1972, Lotteria has grown to become a beloved brand, and Singapore will soon be its eighth market in the region. This move is thanks to Katrina Group, a local F&B operator and hospitality company that recently announced its plans to bring the Korean chain to Singapore. And they’re not stopping at just one location, either—multiple outlets are projected to open, giving Singaporeans plenty of opportunities to try these unique flavors!
A blend of “Lotte†(its parent company, Lotte Corporation) and “cafeteria,†the fast-food chain reflects its commitment to serving a wide range of locally inspired menu items. They’ve done this successfully in other countries: in Japan, they offer a Teriyaki Burger, while in Vietnam, they’ve rolled out a banh mi-inspired burger. In South Korea, one of their most popular offerings is the Jeonju Bibim Rice Burger—a creative twist that combines the flavors of Korea’s beloved bibimbap with the convenience of a burger. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of Singapore-inspired flavors they come up with!
Alongside these local specialties, Lotteria also offers some more familiar classics, like the Classic Cheese Burger, the Hot Crispy Chicken Burger (famous for its crunchy exterior and juicy chicken), and their popular Cheese Sticks. These options make it easy for newcomers to the brand to find something they’ll enjoy, whether they’re in the mood for classic fast food or ready to try a new twist on burgers.
Alan Goh, Chief Executive and Founder of Katrina Group, expressed his excitement about bringing Lotteria to Singapore. “We are thrilled to partner with Lotte GRS to introduce LOTTERIA to Singapore,†he said in a statement. “Given the brand’s massive popularity in South Korea and its emphasis on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, we are confident that Lotteria will resonate with Singaporeans and further enhance our F&B portfolio.†To note, Katrina Group has also brought other Korean brands to Singapore, including popular spots like Daily Beer and Daily Chicken.
The arrival of Lotteria is part of an exciting wave of new international brands, including the much-anticipated Chick-fil-A, that are helping Singapore’s food scene thrive with diverse flavors from around the world. Now you won’t need to hop on a plane to South Korea to get a taste of some authentic Korean fast food!
Whether you’re a die-hard burger lover, a fan of Korean cuisine, or just looking for something new to try, Lotteria promises an exciting addition that’s definitely worth a visit. So, what do you think? Are you ready to give these Korean-inspired flavors a try?
