Savor the Ultimate K-Drama Vibes with Daily Beer’s Signature Fried Chicken and Craft Brews
In South Korea, chicken and beer isn’t just a meal—it’s a vibe. Known as ‘chi-maek’ (short for chicken and “maekju,” meaning beer), this iconic combo soared in popularity after being featured in the K-drama My Love from the Star with the memorable line, “I feel like chimaek when it snows.”
And seriously, who wouldn’t love this combo? Not just delicious, fried chicken paired with beer is perfect because the beer cuts through the oiliness, making each bite as satisfying as the last. It’s the ultimate chill-out food—great for relaxing after a long day. Whether you’re in Singapore looking to unwind with friends or craving a delicious escape, chi-maek is the way to go, especially now that Daily Beer is in the country!
Expanding its restaurant franchise, Katrina Group, based right here in Singapore, teamed up last year to bring Daily Beer into the Singaporean market. An ultimate South Korean spot for craft beer and fried chicken, this joint has got celebs like actress Kim Da Mi, EXO’s Xiumin, and Running Man’s Yoo Jae Suk and Kim Jong Kook hooked.
Opened on April 18, Daily Beer has brought its famed Angry Birds fried chicken to Singapore. Priced at S$28.90++ for 600g, this dish features fresh chicken that’s dipped in batter, coated in flour, and double-fried for maximum crunch and juiciness. Aptly named Angry Bird, you can enjoy this meaty treat either boneless or as wings, in flavors like original, Red (spicy), Kimchi, or Black (sweet garlic soy sauce). For an extra crunch, you can also try the Angry Bird Crunch, which comes encrusted with cornflakes.
Apart from their signature chi-maek, Daily Beer Singapore delights with a menu full of South Korean favorites, like tteokbokki, fish cake soup, grilled dried pollack, spicy kimchi stew, udon, bibimbap, and unique treats, like spam fries and cheese balls.
Daily Beer usually partners with small-batch breweries across South Korea to create exclusive beers for them. For their Singapore outpost, the chain features local collaborations like the Telok Hazy IPA, Telok Pale Ale, and K-Ginseng Lager, made with Brewerkz. There’s also the Real K-somaek 500, for those who want to try the refreshing blend of Korean soju and ginger beer.
Open from 11:30 am to 11 pm Sunday through Thursday and until 12:30 am on Fridays and Saturdays, Daily Beer Singapore is the perfect spot for your next hangout. Drop by, pour yourself a cold beer, and let the good times roll—because here, ‘no beer’ truly means ‘no work!’
If you’re on the hunt for a lively TGIF destination to enjoy with friends, make sure Daily Beer is on your list. This place is a must-visit for anyone looking to kick back and have a great time.
