Just in time for Christmas, the Backstreet Boys are back with their first-ever Christmas album, A Very Backstreet Christmas.
It’d surely be a merry Christmas as the phenomenal ‘90s vocal group, Backstreet Boys will be ringing this holiday season. The five-member boy band comprising of the former teenage heartthrob, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, and Kevin Richardson made an announcement about the release of their upcoming album, A Very Backstreet Christmas, which will be a collection of the Yuletide classics with three freshly cut tracks.
As per Howie: “We have been wanting to do a Christmas album for nearly 30 years now. And we’re beyond excited that it’s finally happening. We had such a fun experience putting our BSB twist on some of our favorite Christmas classics, and we can’t wait to be part of our fans’ holiday season.”
This Is What You Need to Know About BSB’s A Very Backstreet Christmas
A Very Backstreet Christmas is the group’s first-ever Christmas album and the first studio album from the band in three years. This new album comes with new tracks (Christmas in New York, Together, and Happy Days) and, of course, a collection of holiday favorites that include White Christmas, Silent Night, and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Aside from that, the ’90s superstars will also feature exclusive versions that come with a 15-track CD through Target. This limited edition contains bonus tracks like Feliz Navidad and It’s Christmas Time Again – with a limited-edition red vinyl.
This album was originally set to be released in 2021. However, it was postponed because of the pandemic.
Currently, the members of the Backstreet Boys are on the North American leg of their DNA World Tour—which started last April with four shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The band’s album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making it the group’s third No. 1 and first leader since Black & Blue, which spent two weeks at the top spot in 2000.
DNA received a Grammy nomination for best pop duo/group performance (Don’t Go Breaking My Heart), and it became Backstreet Boys’ tenth top ten albums in the United States. In their 29 years of bringing pop, R&B, and contemporary music, the quintet has shifted an astounding 130 million records.
