The Glenrothes, one of Scotland’s most esteemed whisky distilleries, has announced the launch of its latest limited edition single malt whisky, The 42. This exclusive release is the first of its age from The Glenrothes and is inspired by the Highland home of the distillery. The Glenrothes 42 is a union of hand-selected casks that have matured for over four decades on The Glenrothes Estate.
Master Whisky Maker Laura Rampling selected just four casks that had reached the pinnacle of flavour to produce The Glenrothes 42. The whisky reflects the changing colours of the Rothes landscape and is housed in colourful, contoured packaging that celebrates the terrain.
The new exquisite whisky label delivers a vibrant flavour profile with distinctive aromas of sun-ripened apricots, sugared almonds, orange peel and coriander seed. On the palate, the whisky is creamy with notes of vanilla, honeycomb and fragrant orange oil, leaving a lingering aromatic finish.
The Glenrothes 42 will be available from May 2023 in Singapore, exclusively at Oak Cellars and 1855. With only 1134 bottles available worldwide, whisky enthusiasts will need to act fast to secure their own piece of this unique spirit.
