Taylor Swift Makes MTV VMA History with a Record-Breaking Night

Taylor Swift once again dominated the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards—taking home a massive seven wins, including the coveted Video of the Year award.

The results are out—and as expected, Miss Americana dominated the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. Leading the night with 12 nominations, she broke Beyoncé’s record for the most solo VMA wins ever and became the first artist to win Video of the Year five times!

Not far behind, Eminem, Tyla, and Megan Thee Stallion each scored two awards. Eminem won Best Hip-Hop and Best Visual Effects for his hit Houdini, Megan Thee Stallion picked up Best Art Direction for BOA and Best Trending Video for Mamushi, while Tyla made waves by winning Best New Artist and Best Afrobeats for Water.

The night was filled with unforgettable performances. Eminem kicked things off with a fiery set of Houdini and Somebody Save Me. Katy Perry lit up the stage with a medley of her greatest hits in celebration of her Video Vanguard Award. Camila Cabello, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan also delivered standout performances while Lalisa Manoban made history as the first two-time winner of Best K-pop, stunning the audience with her high-energy performance.
