Sunday Shades Introduces the Perfect Pair of Sunglasses Catered for Asian Features

November 10, 2022

Sharing is caring!

If you’re sick of constantly readjusting your sunglasses, maybe it’s time to consider the first Asian features-designed sunglasses in Southeast Asia.

Aside from the aesthetics, sunglasses provide much-needed eye protection from ultraviolet light, which can have harmful effects on the retina, cornea, eyelid, and lens. Unfortunately, most sunglasses available on the market are not made specifically for Asians.

In most cases, these sunglasses will slip off your sweaty nose as you bask under the sun and enjoy the beach. For those who are fond of catching waves, those designer sunglasses often fall into the sea – and in the worst scenario, may be gone forever.

Here’s Why You Should Consider Sunday Shades

Sharing the same sentiments, the co-founders of Sunday Shades, brothers Kenneth and Raymond, and Kenneth’s wife, Dorothy, took a deep dive into designing the perfect pair of sunglasses fitted for Asian features. Like you, they also found it difficult to look for polarized sunglasses that fit their nose bridges without constantly bouncing and slipping off – it’s either the designs were out of date or they were too expensive.

After six months of coordinating with various production partners and manufacturers, the first Asian features-designed sunglasses in Southeast Asia came to life. The newly-introduced classic Sunday Shades come in an Asian Fit, with No Bounce, Full UV Protection, Lightweight, and Affordable. Yes, these cool sunglasses only cover a third of the price of those designer sunglasses.

  • Asian Fit
Sunday Shades

Sunday Shades’ Classic, Tempo, and recently-launched Surge series are particularly customized for Asian face frames. These sunglasses were built with raised nose pads, altered base curve frames, and close-gripped temples, allowing users to have their sunglasses sit snugly on their faces and not bounce nor slip during exercise or any outdoor activities.

  • Lightweight

Adding comfort is the lightweight feature of the Sunday Shades. These sunglasses were crafted without any metal screws, with each weighing as light as five sheets of A5 paper!

However, though lightweight, these sunglasses are still made with high-tech, impact-resistant polycarbonate plastic, making them extremely durable even when used in vigorous outdoor sports such as beach volleyball.

  • Affordable

As Sunday Shades follows the direct-to-consumer business model, these cool sunglasses are retailed exclusively online at extremely affordable prices, ranging from S$49 to S$55 per pair on average.

To date, the well-loved by sports aficionados and athletes sunglasses has sold more than 20,000 pairs, with 200% year-on-year growth in sales. Sunday Shades constantly refines its products to meet the needs of its customers by releasing new styles and colors. In fact, on top of the newly-launched Surge series and summer-worthy color additions for the Classic series, Sunday Shades will also be launching an upcoming sports-inspired Flare series this November.

Sunday Shades is the official partner of the Volleyball Association of Singapore and the Singapore Rugby Union. Want to enjoy the outdoors without getting stressed about your sunglasses slipping off? Check out the latest release of Sunday Shades on their official site here.
