The multiverse adventure film, Everything Everywhere All at Once, became the big winner for the 29th SAG Awards, which took place at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles last Sunday. Primarily held to honor the best performances in both television and film, this year’s awards highlighted Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Ke Huy Quan.

Making history as the first Asian woman to win the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role, beating frontrunner Cate Blanchett of TAR, Michelle Yeoh shared in her emotional acceptance speech, “This is not just for me. It’s for every little girl who looks like me.” Her co-star, Ke Huy Quan, was also noted for becoming the first Asian actor to have won the SAG Award for Best Supporting Male.
