Christopher Nolan’s historical drama dominates with five wins, securing Best Drama and Best Director.
The awards season kicked off last Sunday night with the Golden Globes 2024 recognizing outstanding achievements in both film and television. Hosted by comedian Jo Koy, the event took place at the iconic Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles and drew this generation’s leading icons, such as Margot Robbie, Taylor Swift, Nicolas Cage, Lily Gladstone, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lopez, Rosamund Pike, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Timothée Chalamet, Selena Gomez, Billie Eilish, and many other dazzling stars.
Following its groundbreaking box office success, Oppenheimer reaffirmed its excellence at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, securing five wins, including the most coveted Best Motion Picture Drama. Simultaneously, in the realm of television, despite concluding its four-season run in May, Succession took the lead with four awards, including Best Drama Series. Trailing closely is the narrative of The Bear—which follows the story of the Chicago restaurant grappling to stay afloat—clinching the titles of Best Comedy Series, along with Best Actor and Actress in a Musical or Comedy for Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri.
