This Sichuanese dining place offers both traditional and modern takes on mala dishes, including those regional classics!

For only $33.80, you can already enjoy the restaurant’s signature Applewood Smoked Crispy Chicken, made from boneless thigh pieces roasted with crunchy peanuts, tempeh pieces, and, of course, Sichuan peppercorns. You can also try their mouthwatering Imperial Sauced Sliced Beef, Chengdu Seabass in Sour Pickled Soup, and the trendy Peking Duck in Spicy Stew, priced at only $39.80++.

Drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese medicine, Synthesis blends well the best qualities of various ingredients to provide you with wholesome food. This newly-opened restaurant in Singapore offers Laksa Prawn Tartare, Heavenly Char Siew, Japanese Oyster, Hokkaido Scallop Xo Cold Somen, Sakura Chicken Herbal Poached Rice, Australian Wagyu Beef Striploin, and Burnt Butter Cauliflower Steak.

If you are fond of the servings prepared by Mama Diam, then you will definitely like Synthesis, as it is founded by the same people behind the speakeasy bar that infuses elements of a traditional Mama Shop that is well-loved by many Singaporeans.

If you want to go full of Japanese cuisine, then you might as well get the best from iKKA GOYO. This Japanese restaurant is the newest kaiseki concept found along Amoy Street. Helmed by Chef Mitsutaka from Hyogo, Japan, the dishes served in this restaurant take inspiration from the Japanese proverb that goes: “One flower opening up to five petals”—a more subtle way of saying that there are various and innovative ways to prepare dishes using fresh in-season ingredients.

Very particular with their cuisine, a dish in iKKA GOYO is never complete without Ogon Dashi, or golden broth. Enjoy the fixed-price menu of the kaiseki restaurant that is made of 12 courses—including skipjack tuna, abalone, and Kombu Dashi—at $338 per person.
