Making a comeback post-pandemic, in its fifth edition, the full-scale event will take place at The Meadow, the Garden’s largest event venue, spanning an area equivalent to three football fields. This year, the free concert, which will kick off at 7:30 p.m., will be hosted by the dynamic duo of radio DJ Vernetta Lopez and actor-host-singer Fauzie Laily.

Guests at the event will be delighted by the spectacular performances of Singaporean artists, including Kit Chan’s iconic song Home, which will be celebrating its 25th year. Fauzie will also be gracing the stage, teaming up with the promising singer-songwriter Umar Sirhan for an electrifying mash-up of chart-topping pop hits.
In addition to the star-studded lineup, the show will showcase the incredible talents of singers Shak’thiya Subramaniam and Joanna Dong, both of whom lent their voices to the 2018 edition of the NDP song We Are Singapore. You can also look forward to the rare and special performance of Singaporean singer Mavis Hee, who will be serving the theme song of the 1996 Chinese drama Tofu Street, Moonlight in the City.
The event will also be attended by veteran artists Clement Chow and Ann Hussein, actor-singer Ayden Sng and Jaynesh Isuran, Suthasini Rajendran, vocal groups MICappella, Vocaluptuous, and Voices of Singapore, and contestants of the second season of Mediacorp’s Malay reality singing competition Juara Mic Junior. Hence, prepare to sing along to beloved classics, like Count on Me, Singapore, Our Story, and Rajendran’s electrifying viral Tamil National Day song, Nam Singapore.
Celebrating the true essence of National Day, the audience will be treated to mesmerizing performances that showcase traditional musical instruments like the erhu, kompang, and tabla. These captivating renditions will be presented by Mediacorp artists, including Ayden Sng, Fadli Kamsani, and Jaynesh Isuran.
Apart from these amazing performances, concertgoers can also take part in the many family-friendly activities that are made available in the area, such as photo booths, inflatable playground, free old-school snacks, pet walk (organized by SAFRA), plant giveaways, percussion ensemble, reality cooking show, stilt walking, arts and craft sessions, face painting, and, of course, the much-anticipated crowd-favorite: fireworks display.
President Halimah Yacob, who will be in attendance to grace the event, expressed that: “The Gardens by the Bay and Mediacorp National Day Concert has sought to bring the community together through fun, family-friendly entertainment right from its first edition in 2019, and even through the challenges of the pandemic. As such, I am heartened to see the concert returning to its full scale for the first time since it began, to bring even more people together.â€
