Beyoncé leads the nomination with nine nods while her husband Jay-Z lands with five nods. They now share the record of the most Grammy nominations in history – with 88 each in total.
It’s the time of the year again! Nominations are already up for the 2023 Grammy Awards which will take place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Leading the 65th Grammy Awards is decorated “Queen Bey†with nine nominations, including the Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Dance/Electronic Recording, Best Dance/Electronic Music Album, Best R&B Performance, and Best R&B Song.
Following Beyoncé is Kendrick Lamar with eight nominations while both Adele and Brandi Carlile earned seven nods each. Next in line are a rather diverse group of artists that garnered six nominations, this includes rapper-producer DJ Khaled, songwriter Terius Gesteelde-Diamant, engineer Randy Merill, singer-songwriter Mary J. Blige, rapper-songwriter Future, and British pop icon Harry Styles.
Also making history during the announcement was Bad Bunny with his chart-reigning Un Verano Sin Ti – which became the very first all-Spanish-language album to ever got nominated in the most coveted Album of the Year category. The Puerto Rican rapper-singer was also on the list for the Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Musica Urbana Album categories.
