After its successful debut in France, Louis Vuittons exhibition makes its first international stop in Singapore for its global travel journey. Visitors can now engage and experience Louis Vuittons 200 years of influence at the Marina Bay Sands.
Starting April 4 to 27, Singaporeans can view in the flesh Louis Vuittons 200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries Exhibition along the waterfront of Marina Bay Sands beside the all-glass structure of the flagship store Crystal Pavilion. Originally crafted for Louis Vuittons bicentennial birthday, the symbolic trunk now goes global to showcase the 200 reimagined designs of 200 visionary friends of the luxury fashion house from artists to musicians, sportsmen, scientists, and philosophers.
The collective vessel embodies the aspirations, abstract concepts, and artistic expressions that guests and invitees can experience up close.
Louis Vuittons 200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries: The Exhibition
As a tribute to creativity, ingenuity, and craftsmanship, the exhibit is strategically nestled in a space that highlights the monolithic, Damier faēade alternating with tinted windows and steel claddings to convey Maisons signature graphic with views between exterior and interior. The emblazoned LOUIS 200 also appears boldly across the roof when viewed from above.
Such brilliance came to life thanks to the 200 visionaries who had full reign to transform the original trunk. The results yielded extraordinary interpretations of futuristic transfigurations and physical vessels as presented in a cross-section of physical and digital output.
Louis Vuittons 200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries: The Exhibition was participated by renowned Singaporean celebrities, including Kit Chan, Fann Wong, Zoe Tay, Rebecca Lim, Joanne Peh, Jesseca Liu, Desmond Tan, and Chantalle Eng.
After Singapore, the exhibit will be heading to Beijing, then to New York and London before getting auctioned at Sothebys in December 2022 to support the youth and talents in their creative endeavors and bridge inequality gaps.
