From Stranger Things to Enola Holmes, the Netflix star now fights a fire-breathing beast to save herself from an ancient debt.
Netflix finally released a sneak peek of Millie Bobby Brown’s latest film, Damsel. And like how most of her character portrayals have been, the Stranger Things actress seems to turn the fairytale trope on its head once again.
Damsel tells the story of Elodie, a young lady who grew up in the poverty-stricken realm of Inophe and was offered a generous amount of wealth by a mysterious kingdom in exchange for her hand in marriage. Unfortunately, such luck comes with a dark twist as Elodie learns that she was recruited by the royal family as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. She was then thrown into a cave where a dragon resides—and she must fight for her life to survive.
Damsel is Available on Netflix on October 23!
As per Netflix, Damsel will hit the giant streaming platform on October 23, 2023. Aside from leading the film, Millie Bobby Brown also serves as its executive producer. Along with her, House of Cards and Wonder Woman star Robin Wright, Black Panther’s Angela Bassett, Ray Winstone, Nick Robinson, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Brooke Carter will also star in the upcoming movie.
The film, which has been in the works for more than two years, was written by Dan Mazeau and directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. While waiting for Millie Bobby Brown’s movie to be released, her latest movie, Enola Holmes 2, is still available to stream on Netflix.
