Definitely a five-star experience—of laughter, mayhem, and pure comedic gold.
Just how can a simple bed and breakfast turn into the most unhinged and hilarious getaway ever? Well, for starters, imagine a B&B in the middle of the ocean. No front door. No utensils. And if you want to check in? Be ready to rock climb your way in or slide straight into the water.
Welcome to Kian’s Bizarre B&B, the Netflix variety show premiering on April 8 that promises laughter, mayhem, and possibly the most hilarious travel accommodation you’ll experience ever.
Here’s Everything You Need to Know About ‘Kian’s Bizarre B&B’
Making his grand Netflix debut, BTS’ Jin joins the madness alongside webtoon artist and variety show favorite Kian84, plus actress and comedian Ji Ye-eun. Together, they attempt to run this chaotic excuse for a guesthouse, hosting friends and strangers while navigating unexpected challenges—like figuring out how to serve food without actual plates. Just how crazy can this get?!
If the teaser is anything to go by, the answer is: very. Jin, known for his quick wit and natural comedic timing, is about to put his customer service skills to the ultimate test. Spoiler alert: he might be great at selling out stadiums, but handling guests in a floating B&B? That’s a totally different story. The show thrives on spontaneity and unscripted hilarity, promising plenty of unexpected moments, relatable mishaps, and surprisingly heartwarming interactions.
Set against the breathtaking (and slightly inconvenient) backdrop of Ulleungdo, this unique getaway is the brainchild of Kian84, who is widely recognized for his work as a webtoon artist and his long-running appearance on I Live Alone. In this new venture, he takes on the challenge of managing a guesthouse with a unique twist: it’s a place for people with fascinating stories to connect, all while surviving the quirks of a completely impractical B&B.
Ji Ye-eun, a regular cast member of Saturday Night Live Korea and a familiar face on Running Man, adds her own brand of chaos to the team. She even went the extra mile—literally—by obtaining a watercraft license just for the show. Meanwhile, Jin, who has long dreamed of starring in a variety program, finally gets his wish. In a past interview, he shared, “I thought about going on a variety show to make myself happy—not for the group or because of my popularity or for work—[but] because filming those shows might put me in a happy mood. There are some things about variety shows that are tough, of course, but it’s also a chance to laugh your head off on set all day.”
And rolling on the floor laughing, we shall.
This isn’t just about Jin showing off his goofy side (though that’s a huge bonus). It’s also a rare chance for fans to see him stepping away from the perfect expectations of K-pop stages and fully embracing the delightful mess that is variety show life. Most recently, he released Close to You, the theme song for Netflix’s K-drama When the Stars Gossip, starring Lee Min-ho and Gong Hyo-jin.
Helmed by director Jung Hyo Min and writer Yoon Shin Hye—the masterminds behind Hyori’s Homestay, a similarly heartwarming yet unpredictable show—Kian’s Bizarre B&B is set to deliver a perfect mix of absurdity, laughter, and surprising sincerity. So, are you ready for this ultimate variety show ride? Will Jin survive the chaotic responsibilities of hosting? Will we see surprise celebrity guests? Are other BTS members crashing the party? Your guess is as good as ours, but one thing’s for sure—this is one reality show you don’t want to miss. Mark your calendars, grab some popcorn, and get ready for an absolutely hilarious stay at Kian’s Bizarre B&B!
