Sofia Vergara and Will Ferrell are the New Villains of ‘Despicable Me 4’

Sharing is caring!

As Gru’s family continues to grow, so does the chaos with the arrival of new nemeses.

And the fun and cuteness overload continue as Gru’s family welcomes a new member, Gru Jr. With the intent of tormenting this dad, the latest installment of the animated franchise series promises another hilarious family adventure filled with twists, surprises, villains, and, of course, Minions!

After seven years, Despicable Me is back with more mischief—and this time, they’ve recruited none other than the fabulous Sofia Vergara from Modern Family. Guess you can already imagine the fun, right? Spicing up the minion madness, the phenomenal actress takes on the role of Maxime Le Mal’s “femme fatale girlfriend,” Valentina.

Buckle Up, ‘Despicable Me 4’ Unleashes Mayhem in Theaters on July 3!

Following the success of Illumination’s Minion: The Rise of Gru in 2022, which earned nearly $1 billion globally, and the triumph of Despicable Me 3, surpassing $1 billion and becoming the highest-grossing animated film franchise (outdoing even Shrek), the animated series ventures into a new chapter in Gru’s life as they welcome a new family member.

To recall, the first movie featured Gru adopting three daughters, while the second installment showed Gru’s unexpected quest to find love with Lucy Wilde. The third movie revealed Gru’s long-lost twin brother, Dru. And now, the family welcomes a new addition with their son, Gru Jr.

Apart from its comedic narrative, fans continue to love this series because of the iconic characters that add fun to the movie, particularly the Minions. Gru’s sidekicks have become so phenomenal that spinoff films were made for them, Minions and Minions: The Rise of Gru.

On July 3, we will again witness the uproarious adventures and mischief as Gru, the Minions, and their newest family member, Gru Jr., take center stage in the highly anticipated Despicable Me 4. Steve Carell (Gru), Kristen Wiig (Luc), Miranda Cosgrove (Margo), Steve Coogan (Silas Ramsbottom), and Dana Gaier (Edith) return for the fourth installment, and they are joined by new characters voiced by Will Ferrell (Maxime Le Mal), Joey King (Poppy), Sofia Vergara (Valentina), Madison Polan (Agnes), Stephen Colbert, and Chloe Fineman.

Get ready for a rollercoaster of laughs and chaos in Despicable Me 4 this July 3. This is definitely a blockbuster you don’t want to miss. Tag your friends and family members as you all unleash your inner Minion! Banananana!
