To commemorate the celebration of Earth Day this April 22, OATSIDE collaborates with three local F&B businesses in Singapore to replace dairy milk with oat milk as the default serving companion in all milk-based beverages – at no additional cost.
Scientists all over the world have been making aggressive movements to strengthen awareness and encourage everyone to take responsible actions to save our common home, the Earth. With the numerous environmental issues faced right now, everyone is called to make conscious efforts to preserve the integrity of the creation and protect the environment.
Gearing towards increasing sustainability-conscious consumption, many have now opted to go for plant-based milk. Compared to animal dairy products, oat milk has a lower environmental impact – constituting 80% less greenhouse gas emissions and using 60% less energy (about ten times less water than the production of cow’s milk).
For simpler conversion, a glass of cow’s milk is said to have three times more emissions than alternative milk, and a liter of cow’s milk would require 1,050 liters of water to produce. Imagine the wild amount of resources being wasted in the production.

Aside from its environmental impact, health-conscious individuals have made the decision to go for plant-based milk like oat milk because it is low in saturated fat – which is good if you have high cholesterol or a history of heart disease.
However, here in Asia, the shift is quite slow in this adoption of plant milk – accounting for only an estimated 15% of the Asian milk market. To make this more sustainable option more accessible to many, in celebration of Earth Day 2022, Singapore’s first homegrown oat milk brand, Oatside has partnered with three local F&B businesses to replace dairy milk with oat milk as the default serving companion in all milk-based beverages.
Singaporeans can now make conscious purchases and enjoy their favorite milk-based beverages – at no additional cost – in the following establishments starting April 22 to 24:
Park Bench Deli
Founded in 2015, this American sandwich shop in Singapore has been serving a heady mix of original menu items in the neighborhood of 179 Telok Ayer Street, Singapore. Park Bench Deli experience can now better be relished when refreshed with milk-based beverages that are made from oat milk.
