Chinese Zodiac 2022: What Waits for You this Year of the Water Tiger

Sharing is caring!

Finally bidding goodbye to the Ox, we now welcome the Lunar New Year with hopes of new beginnings and aspirations after everything that we’ve been through for the past year. February 1, 2022, opens the “Year of Thundering Water Tiger,” as feng shui experts call it – a year that only occurs every sixty years.

Known as the king of all beasts in China, the symbolism of the water tiger has had various interpretations based on traditions, communal practices, and personal beliefs. Despite these differences, as the tiger is known to expel all evil in mythologies, many experts believe that this Chinese zodiac represents power, courage, strength, and leadership.

While the tiger may often get associated with destruction because of the sense of fear it brings, the co-author of “The Handbook of Chinese Horoscopes,” Laura Lau, says that it may be less aggressive as its element – water – is more of the open-minded type. In fact, this year is expected to potentially bring courage, abundance, and good health and wellbeing to many individuals.

Particularly, feng shui expert Patrick Lim Fernandez shares that with the strong and aggressive characteristics of the water tiger, this may cascade into relationships, health, and finances. With this, the year of the tiger is sighted as the perfect time to take risks and work smarter.
