A crossover has never looked this fresh and inventive.
MCM, the renowned German luxury fashion label, collaborates with Japanese collectible creator Be@rbrick to create a limited-edition bear figurine in a white chrome rendition of MCM’s long-running Visetos Monogram – which was first conceived in the German city of Munich in 1976. For this collaboration, Medicom’s Toy Be@rbrick takes on a fresh and inventive look at the classic Haus iconography.
The limited-edition MCM x Be@rbrick collection was released on December 14 – and was readily made available in Japan as a single set containing 100% and 400% size figurines in silver-hued versions. For its worldwide release, for the first time, a larger-than-life 1000% size creation is also realized. That’s 700mm in overall length, the biggest by far in the series.
The said collectible comes in a variation of the iconic bear clad in MCM’s classic cognac Visetos Monogram print. Like a complete package, the figurine is housed in a box that is modeled after the iconic vintage MCM luggage.
Still undecided about what to give to your special someone? Or perhaps for yourself? Take a look at these creations at the MCM boutiques or the brand’s online and pop-up stores and see for yourself how MCM and Be@rbrick have revolutionized the classic bear design. For S$1,280, you can already get a hold of the BE@RBRICK X MCM Cognac in 1000%. Aside from MCM’s online and physical stores, these are also available for purchase in Medicom Toy stores.
