Renowned Spanish luxury fashion house, LOEWE, finally unveiled its Paula’s Ibiza Spring Summer 2022 Collection. Celebrating hedonism and sensuality, the collection flaunts a carefree vibe with its vibrant shades, uncomplicated and easy-to-wear looks, and energetic prints.
Escaping into a parallel world where everything is possible, the collection takes inspiration from the island of Ibiza which is known for its lively nightlife – an ultimate party destination. This fifth iteration of the collection speaks so much of the carefree attitude and liberation that is very typical of Ibiza. It explodes with colors and prints, perfectly reflecting the hedonistic vision.
LOEWE Presents Paula’s Ibiza Spring Summer 2022 Collection
The unisex summer collection of Paula’s Ibiza staples dresses and tops that sparkle in sequins, casual shirts made in silk, easy and uncomplicated loose knitted pullovers, and colorful overdyed faded jeans. Such jolly outbursts of glitters, sequins, and bright colors counterbalance the serenity of pure white. Most interestingly, everything in the collection can be exchanged between men and women – including dresses and tops – connoting the freedom that is Ibiza.
Complementing the colorful and playful vibe, the collection also includes accessories like the sequined platform mules, espadrillas, and textured jersey version of the Flow Runner. It is trademarked by LOEWE’s craftmanship as materialized with denim, woven straw, and raffia.
The iconic styles of natural fiber baskets and leather bags such as Hammock and Amazona have been reinvigorated with the ombrè colors of the psychedelic Ibizan sunset. The classic Flamenco clutch has been reinvented in Denim while the Anagram is blown up and turned into a cut-out in leather and canvas totes and pockets. Small leather goods were finished in marquetry cocktail motifs to match the summer feels of the statement sunglasses, beach-ready hats, charms, and jewelry.
Providing an ultimate summer experience for both men and women, the collection also comes with LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza Eclectic – the second Eau de Toilette to satiate the olfactory experience. Eclectic encapsulates the idea of hedonism in woody, floral and gourmand notes of orange flower absolute and night-blooming jasmine sambac layered with fresh notes of Madagascan mandarin and black pepper, over a heart of incense essential oil and frankincense and a base of coconut and vanilla underlined by rich ylang-ylang, musk, and soft Australian sandalwood. It is bottled in ombrè colors with a matte orange cap and packaged in a cylindrical box decorated in archive print of purple fish, orange lilies, and green lily pads.
Behind the visual portfolio that breathed life into the collection are renowned fashion photographer, Gray Sorrenti, and distinguished creative director, Jonathan Anderson. Set in Casa Broners, the architectural landmark supplemented the fun vibe of the protagonists captured partying, frolicking, and just having fun in what ultimately comes across as an endless party: truly a remarkable celebration of hedonism and sexuality.
