Clad in a sleek red suit jacket and donned in sculptural diamond accessories, the K-pop sensation debuts in an ad campaign for the French luxury jewelry brand.
With yet another ambassadorship under his belt, BTS’ V has been named Cartier’s newest brand ambassador for its latest campaign, Panthère Campaign de Cartier. After headlining Heidi Slimane’s CELINE at the Paris runway show in March, Kim Tae-hyung continues to solidify his status as a fashion icon with this prestigious appointment.
As a member of the globally renowned South Korean boy group BTS, V has garnered immense popularity for his talent and captivating stage presence. Now, as Cartier’s newest brand ambassador, he is set to represent the brand’s timeless elegance and luxury. In the words of Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Cartier, Arnaud Carrez: “V follows his trajectory with the same determination as a panther—a free spirit, both author and composer. He magnetizes an entire generation as a soloist and a member of the group BTS.”
BTS’ V as Cartier’s Newest Ambassador
Praised for his creativity, unique style, and elegance, V is featured in the roll-out wearing a red suit jacket donned with ‘a sculptural diamond ring, tête-à-tête panther bracelet, Révélation d’une Panthère watch, and Panthère de Cartier necklace made of white gold, diamonds, onyx, and emeralds’.
Likened to the creative spirit and magnetic gaze of a panther, V became the ideal ambassador of the luxury brand to wear Panthère de Cartier jewelry creations. “When it came to embodying the magnetism and aura of the panther, our choice naturally fell on V—a personality whose choices are guided by creativity as a dancer, musician, or art lover, with style and elegance that belong only to him.”
As per reports, Cartier’s website instantly crashed when the collection was first announced in South Korea. Stocks of Cartier necklaces were sold out within minutes of the announcement.
Now, V joins the league of top Asian celebrities who are ambassadors of Cartier, including BlackPink’s Jisso, Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone, GOT7’s Jackson Wang, and the iconic Chinese actress Gong Li. Furthermore, V also becomes the second BTS member to strike up a partnership with a luxury jewelry brand after Jimin, who was named as an ambassador for Tiffany & Co.
While the members of the groundbreaking K-pop group are on hiatus to complete their compulsory South Korean military service, each member has focused on doing solo projects and fostering collaborations with brands and fellow artists. To note, V is slated to release his solo debut album in the latter part of this year. In addition to his ambassadorship roles with two luxury brands, Tae-hyung has also graced several fashion events and participated in countless captivating photoshoots.
