While much of the happenings around Singapore right now revolve around the ongoing The Eras Concert Tour of the multi-hyphenated American singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift, other exciting events are also happening in the Lion City this month—from festivals and musicals to culinary experiences and much more.

Whether you’re planning a reunion with friends, eager for a shopping spree, embarking on a gastronomic adventure, or simply on the lookout for enjoyable activities in Singapore, we’ve got you covered. Here’s a roundup of some cool events happening this March that might pique your interest.

1. Latinada Street Food and Music Festival (March 23 – 24)

In the mood for some Latin food and music? Look no further—the largest Latin American street food and music festival in Singapore is back. Five years after its debut, the event promises a festival experience like never before, featuring an exciting lineup of chefs and world-class entertainment. Anticipate an abundance of delicious food, refreshing drinks, and DJs creating a fantastic atmosphere.

Please note that the entry for this event is limited to 500 individuals per day. Tickets are priced at $30 for adults and $10 for children under 12, and they can be purchased through this link. The Latinada festival is set to unfold at CANCHITA on Dempsey Hill, located on Dempsey Road at #9A 9B in Singapore. So, don’t miss out on securing your spot for this exciting event!

2. Zouk Doesn’t Care (March 1 – 17)

Why settle for just a day of celebration when you can groove all night at Zouk for weeks? In honor of International Women’s Day, Singapore’s top nightlife spot has organized an inclusive celebration by women for women called Zouk Doesn’t Care. Not only do women—and those who identify as such—enjoy free entry until midnight, but they also get to dance the night away with groundbreaking female DJs, including music producer DJ Juicy M (Marta Snitkina) and Ukrainian DJ Miss Monique. It’s a night of empowerment and beats you won’t want to miss!

Matilda the Musical (March 9 – April 7)

Have you secured your tickets? Hope so. Because the beloved musical is set to transport you back to the nostalgic moments of childhood. With its captivating storyline and delightful performances, it promises to enchant audiences when it graces the stage on March 9 at the Sands Theater.

This multi-award-winning production from the Royal Shakespeare Company will breathe life, narrating the tale of an extraordinary little girl armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind. Matilda dares to take a stand and shape her destiny, promising an unforgettable experience for all. See the available slots here.

4. Sakura 2024 @ Gardens by the Bay (March 22 – April 21)

Who doesn’t dream of strolling under the delicate canopy of cherry blossoms, especially the ones made famous in Japan? Fortunately, there’s no need to travel to Japan to revel in this beauty because, this March, Gardens by the Bay is embracing the Sakura season.

Situated at the Flower Dome, both Singaporeans and visitors can immerse themselves in the timeless allure of Hanami, where age-old traditions converge with serene tea ceremonies. With over 20 varieties of cherry blossoms, the event will also feature Japanese-inspired architecture, food, games, and programs!

5. Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar (March 8 – April 10)

Renowned for its diverse culinary offerings and extensive shopping options, the Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar has established itself as a staple during the Ramadan season. This year’s edition is said to have over 500 stalls, including halal food stalls and retail stores. Eagerly anticipated by Singaporeans year after year, the event is set to run for over a month—from morning to night—promising a delightful experience with an abundance of mouth-watering and affordable food, as well as a plethora of enticing items to shop for throughout the day.

6. St. Patrick’s Day: The Guinness Experience (March 15 – March 17)
St. Patrick's Day: The Guinness Experience

Singapore’s St. Patrick’s Day scene is popping off with Guinness fueling the vibes with a mad blend of camaraderie, charm, and community spirit. Imagine this: the iconic brew is taking over not one, but two quays (Clarke Quay and Boat Quay), turning them into a giant party from March 15-17. It’s not just about sipping that smooth Guinness; there’s a whole roster of cool stuff like the biggest street festival, live music that’ll get you moving, interactive games, sick makeovers, and some exclusive merch that you can’t find anywhere else. Plus, there’s this unique Guinness Experience where you can dive deep into the brand’s rich legacy and even learn how to pour the perfect pint. And if you’re up for it, join the Guinness masterclass to become a pint-pouring pro.

Trust, it’s the place to be if you’re down for good times, great brews, and making memories with old and new friends alike. So, mark your calendars, ’cause this St. Patrick’s Day in Singapore is about to be legendary.

March is definitely teeming with events, and the choice is yours! Tag your friends and invite them to join in the excitement! Share the joy, make memories, and let this month be filled with unforgettable experiences.
