Sharing is caring!

Committed to being more inclusive after the HFPA scandal, the Golden Globes make an epic comeback with a night filled with drunken speeches and surprise wins.

Despite the controversies faced last year, the long-running awards show returns with a night to remember. Headlined by host Jerrod Carmichael, the ceremony felt a bit awkward at first but eventually toned down to several moving and emotional speeches from the industry’s brightest and most talented stars.

The Fabelmans, The Banshees of Inisherin, House of the Dragon, and Abbott Elementary bagged the highest honors for film and TV series. Also hailed as winners for the night were Quinta Brunson, Tyler James Williams, Angela Bassett, Ke Huy Quan, Steven Spielberg, Michelle Yeoh, Zendaya, Guillermo del Toro, Cate Blanchett, Austin Butler, Colin Farrell, and Jennifer Coolidge.

During the 2023 Golden Globes, Eddie Murphy was presented with the 2023 Cecil B. DeMille Award while Ryan Murphy took the Carol Burnett Award. The ceremony was held at the Beverly Hilton, and the telecast was returned to Peacock and NBC (after declining to air the previous year).
