Sharing is caring!

Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer earned eight nominations, closely following Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, while Poor Things and Killers of the Flower Moon secured seven nods each.

Nominations are in for the 81st annual Golden Globe Awards. Greta Gerwig’s pastel-colored satire, having amassed an impressive total gross exceeding $636 million, the highest of 2023, has garnered nine nominations, including a notable nod for Best Motion Picture (Musical/Comedy), Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, Best Performance by a Female Actor, Best Performance by a Male Actor, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Original Song.

Barbie is now making waves as the second most-nominated film ever at the Golden Globes. In addition, Greta Gerwig scores her first directing nod on the list after being previously overlooked for Lady Bird and Little Women.

This year, HBO’s Succession takes the lead as the most dominant drama on TV, with a remarkable nine nominations. Following closely behind are FX’s sophomore comedy, The Bear, and Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building.
