Sharing is caring!

Labyrinth climbs up to the eleventh spot, moving to an impressive 29 spots and earning the Highest Climber Award.

Now in its 10th year, Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants recognizes Le Du in Bangkok for its modest and modern dining experience, particularly specializing in creatively reworking Thai dishes. The eatery in the Thai capital has been hailed as the number one restaurant in Asia for 2023—moving up three notches from its former designation.

As a street food capital, the fine dining scene in Bangkok certainly proves that the city is truly where you get the best dining experience. Thailand, alongside Singapore, makes the most entries on the top 50 list, with nine restaurants representing each country.

On the other hand, Japan remains home to the best restaurants, with dining spaces taking up most of the 100 Best Restaurants in Asia. As the Director of Content for Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, William Drew puts it: “It’s no surprise. Japan has long been regarded as one of the great gastronomic countries of the world, with a culinary heritage that is admired across the globecombined with innovation, dedication, knowledge, and talent.”

Here’s the Complete List of Asia’s Best Restaurants of 2023

This year, Asia’s Best Restaurants comprises dining establishments from 19 cities, with seven newly added restaurants introducing fresh flavors to the list.

The event was held at Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa and was hosted by Anita Kapoor. Last year, it can be remembered that Den took the top spot, followed by Sorn, Florilege, Le Du, and The Chairman. However, as mentioned, Le Du now takes over the top spot while Den moves four notches down.

Nine of Singapore’s restaurants also made it to the list, including Odette (#6), Labyrinth (#11), Meta (#17), Zen (#21), Burnt Ends (#24), Euphoria (#25), Cloudstreet (#26), Les Amis (#27), and Born (#36).
