Dong Eun finally unleashes the ‘hell’ she has been plotting all along in the posters and trailer released by the highly anticipated Korean series.
Months after capturing the attention and interest of Netflix viewers, the streaming giant finally released the most awaited teaser of the second part of the hit K-drama series, The Glory. This time, all eyes are now on every move that the lead star, the phenomenal actress Song Hye-kyo, will make as she pushes forward in the realization of revenge for all the accomplices who brought many nightmares into her childhood.
The newly released teaser fueled the wrath felt by many fans towards the antagonists of the series, as Yeon-jin emphasized without flickering that she has done nothing wrong towards Dong-eun. All eight characters entangled with Moon Dong-eun’s detailed plan of vengeance are featured in the individual posters released, including Park Yeon-jin, Jeon Jae-jun, Lee Sa-ra, Choi Hye-jeong, Son Myeong-o, Joo Yeo-jeong, Kang Heyon-nam, and Ha Do-yeong.

The Glory is built on the experience of the dazzling trinity of K-drama hitmakers: writer Kim Eun-sook (The Lonely and Great God, Descendants of the Sun and Mr. Sunshine), director An Gil-ho (Stranger, Memories of Alhambra, Record of Youth), and, of course, the casts of Song Hye-kyo, Lee Do-hyun, Lim Ji-yeon, Yeom Hye-ran, Park Sung-hoon, and Jung Sung-ill.
During the press conference made last December, writer Kim Eun-sook shared, “I am a parent myself, and my daughter is going to be sophomore in high school next year. So, school violence is a topic that I’m not new to. And it’s something I want to delve into. We were talking about the topic of school violence, and my concern is that my daughter, because of my fame, would be bullied in school.â€
True enough, the writer was able to convincingly convey the heart of the story—along with the repercussions that could happen with such an act in the future. Within the five weeks since its release, The Glory dominated Netflix’s Global Top 10 TV (Non-English) and continues to rise to fame with several parodies and memes going viral on social media.
Fans are already counting down the days until March 10, when The Glory Part 2 will be released.
