H&M USA collaborates with artists and designers around the United States to create limited-edition shirts in support for voter’s rights, and to encourage its citizens to register and vote on National Registration Day. These limited edition shirts made use of the brand’s new Blanks collection of elevated basics.
Dubbed as H&M Votes x Blanks Artist Collab, the campaign aims to unite fashion and arts in one accessible product to everyone. Furthermore, the pieces aspire to highlight the use of an individual’s voice towards change and encourage them to express their right to vote.
The collection will be launched on 22nd September and will be available at selected H&M USA stores and online at hm.com. Part of the project’s proceeds will be donated to the regional ACLU (The American Civil Liberties Union) chapters of each participating artist’s hometown.
Artists who took part in the collaboration include Baron Von Fancy and Sophia Chang of New York City, Sheila Rashid of Chicago, Gunner Stahl of Atlanta, Greg Mike, founder of ABV AGENCY + GALLERY, of Florida, and Reality To Idea by Joshua Vides of Los Angeles. H&M is a brand that believes in people, and chose one of their own, employee and artist Trevonne Deveaux, as the seventh collaborator for the collection.
