ICYMI: Tokyo’s Cult-Favorite Sakanoue Café is Now in Singapore

Sharing is caring!

Time for a sweet treat!

The sweltering heat can really mess with your mood, right? One minute you’re okay, and the next, you’re feeling tired, cranky, and way less patient than usual. The struggle is real. But if there’s one thing that can instantly make things better, it’s a sweet, cold treat to cool you down and lift your spirits.

Well, you’re in luck! Singapore just got a little sweeter because Tokyo’s cult-favorite kakigōri café, Sakanoue, has officially arrived. That’s right, no need to book a flight to Japan just to get a taste of their iconic shaved ice desserts. Now open at Tiong Poh Road, Sakanoue is here to serve up its signature fluffy kakigōri, perfect for beating the heat and treating yourself to something delicious.

Here’s Everything You Need to Know About Sakanoue Café in Singapore

If you’re already a fan, you probably remember their insanely popular pop-up back in 2023. People lined up for over an hour just to get their hands on a bowl of this refreshing dessert. And let’s be honest, Singaporeans know a good food trend when they see one. Well, this time, it’s not just a limited-time thing. Sakanoue has officially set up a permanent café, so you can indulge anytime you want.

Ranked as one of Tokyo’s top 10 kakigōri spots, Sakanoue has built a loyal following for a reason. Their shaved ice isn’t just your typical and usual shaved ice—it’s ultra-fine, soft, and fluffy, almost like freshly fallen snow. This is because it’s made from pure mineral water, giving it a light, melt-in-your-mouth texture that’s totally different from the usual crushed ice desserts. And the flavors? Chef’s kiss.

The Singapore menu features six mouthwatering options, each as Instagram-worthy as they are delicious. This includes their signature Blackforest Cake, Sakanoue Signature Strawberry Shortcake, Berry Cute Panda, Pistachio Chocolate, Lemon Mascarpone, and Blazing Fire Cheese.

Doors opened on April 4 inside Drips Bakery Café at Tiong Poh Road. Now you know exactly where to go for a cool and hyped-up dessert fix.

So, are you ready to chill a bit and treat yourself?
