GOT7’s multihyphenated member Jackson Wang will be joining the performers and artists from his label, Team Wang, this August 6 at MARQUEE Singapore.
You’ve read it right. Jackson Wang is heading to Singapore this August to host a party at the renowned Marquee Nightclub. This event marks the first international act for the nightclub located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands since it opened in 2019.
Held annually to gather, collaborate, and inspire artists, this gathering (second as of date) hosted by Team Wang Records (Human Remix) will feature a night one can never forget – filled with hip hop beats and pop music from ten in the evening ‘til six in the morning. Attendees can expect to potentially listen to the new music released by Jackson Wang on his solo album, Magic Man, which includes the phenomenal single released last March, Blow, and the recently unveiled Cruel.
As per Marquee’s Instagram stories, the online tickets for the said event were already sold out just an hour after they were made available. If you were not able to get one, fret not. There will be tickets that will be up for grabs at the door on the day of the event. However, given the space capacity, only a limited number will be sold, so be ready to join the crowd.
Here’s What We Know So Far About Jackson Wang’s Event
It’s no wonder why tickets immediately sold out just minutes after they were released. Along with Jackson Wang, Marquee’s resident DJ Fvder will also be present, spinning some tracks, while the Singapore-bord Poland-based beatboxing champion Dharni Ng (more popularly known as Dharni) will also be adding beats to the event. Team Wang Records’ very own producer and artist, Laurie and XENZU will also be performing for the night.
Those who are attending the event are encouraged to dress in an all-black outfit. Hence, now is the best time to check out what OOTD best suits you or to hover around your closet to see what black jacket or jeans ensemble could best fit the event.
Jackson Wang: Quick Update
Just this week, Jackson Wang released the superpowered music video for Cruel, a track that is part of his upcoming album, Magic Man. The cinematic MV depicts the rapper-singer-dancer as a fire-breathing entity fighting off a gang of soul-sucking female antagonists. He then shows off his superpowers and, of course, physique through ashes, stones, and rubble. It can be remembered that Cruel was first revealed during his surprise appearance at Coachella earlier this year.
The GOT7 member shared that Magic Man will finally drop on September 9, along with merchandise bundles and packages – including collectible items like the silver vinyl record, clothes, box sets, and many others. The LP comes with 10 tracks, including the hit singles Blow, Cruel, Champagne Cool, Go Ghost, Drive It Like You Stole It, Come Alive, Just Like Magic, All the Way, Dopamine, and Blue.
Just recently, Wang made a remarkable performance at The Match Bangkok Century Cup 2022 before the much-awaited football match between Manchester United and Liverpool FC. He is slated to perform next at Jakarta’s We The Fest 2022 this coming September.
