Bad Bunny is this year’s VMA’s Artist of the Year – the first non-English language act to do so. See the complete list of winners below.

Broadcasted live last August 28, 2022, the most awaited MTV VMAs made an epic comeback at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The awarding ceremony was hosted by LL Cool J, Nicki Minaj, and Jack Harlow—a unique trio who led the three-hour event for the first time, which was graced by performances of BLACKPINK, Lizzo, Marshmello, Khalid, Anitta, Panic! at the Disco, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Nicki Minaj herself.

The Puerto Rican rapper, Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, better known as Bad Bunny, who’s known for his Latin trap and reggaeton, made history as the first non-English language act to bag the Artist of the Year. Taylor Swift received three awards for her All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version), while Harry Styles’ Harry House was named the Album of the Year.

Host Nicki Minaj was granted a special honorary award, the Video Vanguard Award, alongside the legendary rock band, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who were hailed as Global Icons for this year’s VMAs.
