Certified Pokémon trainer? Let us put your skills to the test at the Gardens by the Bay this November 18 – 20!

Tickets are now available for the much-awaited Pokémon Go Safari Zone. After three years of pandemic hiatus, the fun-filled event makes a comeback to Singapore as part of the special Pikachu Weekend.

Running from November 18 to 20, Pokémon trainers are invited to physically gather at the Gardens by the Bay for a large-scale Pokémon Go event, featuring a series of activities that will encourage participants to “catch them all ‘mons” – including the most-coveted grass-type pokémon, Maractus.

As announced in the press conference held at Jewel Changi Airport last August 30 by The Pokémon Company (TPC), the event is part of TPC’s Pokémon Air Adventures campaign in Singapore. Niantic developers can also be expected to attend the Pokémon Go Safari Zone, so Pokémon trainers also get a chance to chat and socialize with the creatives behind the augmented reality game.

Exciting Treats Await: Here’s Why You Should Join Pokémon Go Safari Zone

Pokémon Go Safari Zone is a ticketed event. Aside from the exciting adventures that await onsite, ticket holders get to access exclusive Pokémon Air Adventures gameplay as well.

Apart from getting a chance to catch Maractus and Purrloin, trainers may also come across other unique Pokémon species, like Lapras, Alolan Meowth, and Flying Pikachu (with multicolored and purple balloons!). On top of that, for the first time in the game, lucky players may also get the chance to see the dark-type feline Pokémon, Shiny Purrloin!

Also appearing during the special event in Singapore is the purple-floral shirt-wearing Pikachu – an exclusive in the game to mark the celebration of this remarkable collaboration with Pokémon Air Adventures.

In the gameplay, Mega Latias and Mega Latios will also show up in Mega Raids, with Team Go Rocket appearing more frequently in balloons. Awesome, right? Want more? Buddy Pokémon’s chances of finding souvenirs may be heightened during the event, with exclusive paper airplane souvenirs lurking around the corner.

The CEO of Gardens by the Bay, Felix Loh, shared that the event opens another opportunity for the community to gather in this iconic location to have fun and bond with each other. To which the Corporate Officer of TPC, Susumu Fukunaga, added, “Although the pandemic situation is still unpredictable, we hope this event will be catalyst for people to kickstart their travels once again as borders reopen and life returns to normal. With this project, we hope to contribute to the tourism and transportation infrastructure industries in various regions and that the Pikachu Jet TR will be a symbol of this connectivity among communities and bring joy to everyone involved.”

It can be remembered that the Pokémon Air Adventures campaign also includes the partnership with Scoot – wherein the two launched the first Pokémon-themed livery and inflight experience on an airline last September 9.

Excited? Here’s How You Can Secure Your Ticket for the Pokémon Go Safari Zone!

It is noted that Pokémon Go Safari Zone: Singapore attendees may only purchase tickets for one day of the three-day event. To secure a ticket, simply go to the Pokémon Go Live Events Ticketing Page and head to “Tickets Available.”

Tickets are priced at $17 for general admission, which already grants holders access to gameplay within the event space from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Those who want to start earlier may purchase the $25 ticket, which grants access starting from 10 am onwards.
